Innovation, sustainability, and efficiency for a more organized transportation system.
ONLB and Órbita are leading a proactive initiative to modernize the urban transportation system in Lima and Callao. This process includes renewing the fleet by transitioning from gasoline to diesel, generating positive environmental impact and improving service efficiency.
To enhance the user experience, ONLB and Órbita have equipped all buses with communication systems featuring onboard screens and have implemented contactless payment solutions. Additionally, GPS has been installed on all units to improve fleet management, enabling scheduled stops and a more organized public transport service.
ONLB and Órbita played a key role in the technological, economic, and environmental improvement proposal. These innovations aim to optimize service, reduce traffic chaos, and contribute to the sustainability of urban transportation.
On February 12, 2025, the new system was officially launched with the participation of the Urban Transport Chamber, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, ATU authorities, and ONLB and Órbita as key players in the development of this historic milestone for Lima and Callao’s urban transportation network.
